About This Site
This site exists because the wildlife removal information available for Roanoke was either national and vague, or a decade old and never updated.
What we are
Roanoke Wildlife Removal is an independent local resource and referral service. We publish what each animal actually costs to remove, what the process involves, and what Virginia law requires, and pass quote requests to a licensed operator covering the area where one is available.
What we are not
We are not a licensed wildlife control operator. We do not trap, exclude, remove or restore. That work requires a state licence which we do not hold, and anyone we refer you to holds the licence appropriate to the job. Nothing here is legal advice.
How we make money
Plainly: the business model is referral fees. When a licensed operator takes on a homeowner we send them, the operator may pay us for the introduction. You are never charged, and the amount does not change with what you spend.
We are still building our list of operators in Roanoke. Until we have one, a request may not be passed on quickly, or at all, and we would rather say so here than promise a call-back we cannot guarantee.
You should know that, because it is the only honest way to read a site like this, and it is why the next section matters.
How we research this site
- Primary sources first. State rules come from Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources. Federal bird protections come from the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
- We link to the source so you can check us.
- We refuse to invent facts. Where we have not verified something (a permit rule, a date) the section is left out rather than filled with a guess. Several pages on this site are deliberately shorter than a competitor’s for that reason.
- Cost figures are ranges, presented as planning numbers, never quotes.
- We date the review. Rules and prices both move.
Tell us; quotes@roanokewildliferemoval.com. Corrections from licensed operators who do this daily are the most useful mail we get.
Who publishes this site
Roanoke Wildlife Removal is published by Trade Frontage (Ontario, Canada), which runs a small number of local information sites in different markets. The other markets page lists them.
